Andrea Schumacher, Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA)

Andrea Schumacher has been a Tropical Cyclone Research Associate at the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA) at Colorado State University since 2006.  Currently, she is also a GOES-R Satellite Liaison to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) in Miami, Florida.  As a GOES-R Satellite Liaison, Andrea has been coordinating with satellite product developers and operational forecasters for the last several years to assist with the implementation and evaluation of new GOES-R capabilities at the NHC.
