Anomalous Propagation
AP was discussed in detail in the Reflectivity module so we will only
mention it briefly here. Anomalous Propagation can be described as
mirages in the radar images caused by a cold sea (see Figure below),
ducting of sidelobe or slice of mainlobe or aggressive reflection of a
solid target that can be e.g. ships, islands, sea waves or the opposite
coast.
