Ghosts (echoes not correlating with ground truth)
Besides permanent echoes such as those produced by mountains, urban areas, and so on, weather radar can detect a number of other phenomena or objects apart from rain and cloud: clear air echoes, dust storms, forest fires, aircraft, etc. Wherever possible, examples have been provided.
