Dr. Chad Gravelle, GOES-R Satellite Liaison and Science Coordinator, National Weather Service Operations Proving Ground

Dr. Chad Gravelle is the GOES-R Satellite Liaison and Science Coordinator for the National Weather Service Operations Proving Ground in Kansas City, Missouri, where he leads the transition of GOES-R products into NWS Forecast Office operations and coordinates the development and implementation of Readiness Evaluations for promising new NWS tools and capabilities in the NWS. Chad works with NWS Forecast Offices on developing regional applications-based training materials and dissemination methods. He has a B.S. degree in meteorology from the State University of New York at Brockport and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in meteorology from Saint Louis University.

Amanda Terborg is a Development Meteorologist for the National Weather Service Aviation Weather Center, where she formerly worked as the Satellite Liaison and led the efforts to integrate GOES-R hardware and products into AWC operations. She continues to head up this work while also coordinating the development and integration of various other aviation forecast tools. She earned her B.S. degree in meteorology from Valparaiso University and an M.S. in applied meteorology from Plymouth Statue University. Her background as a pilot's daughter inspired her to specialize in aviation forecasting, specifically in statistical analysis of aviation icing scenarios in mountainous terrain.
