Technical questions

Hi Dave,

I have some technical questions.

I thought I was sure how "raising hand" and the "question box" was functioning, but now I am a little confused.

Raising hand: When Paul finished his session and time were up for questions, I started raising my hand. Though I found out, we were all unmuted and could just ask ahead. Even though, back to the raising hand opportunity, cause I guess this can be used when I am muted and have a question along the session. Only shortly I saw the simple on my screen, that I had raised my hand, but quickly it disappeared. Did you put my hand down (cause the intention was just to speak up with the question), or did it disappear by itself?

The question box: Near the end of the webinar, I wrote you a question in this box, cause I thought if I would like to ask and get answer from you and not Paul I should write it there, as Paul was at the microphone. Did you get my question, or who gets the questions typed in the question box?

The questions I wrote for you in the question box - but now also here:
Did you record today´s session?
Though not urgent, but where can I find it later on, and listen to it again?
Will it be possible to pause the recorded session? I´m sure I need to pause it several times in order to digest all the informations and points and writing notes?
Will Paul´s slide show also be put on the course webpage? - there were numerous figures I would like to print and put my notes on to it.

No more questions for now smile

Hi Birgitte,

Yes, you did raise your hand, but I unmuted everyone so that they could ask questions. That may not have been the best thing for me to do given the number of people doing the lecture. One of the reasons I did it this way was that Weiqing was having difficulty with the hand-raising and I was a little afraid that others might be having the same problem.

I did get your question, the one that got typed in the question box. To answer it now, I did record this session and will post Paul's presentation and the recording of it to the website. I have a minor issue, though. Because of the technical difficulties we had, the recording is a whopping 125 MB which is too big to accommodate on the website. I'll try this afternoon to cut it down to the maximum 100 MB for the website so that I can upload it. Failing that, I may have to put it on my personal website for download.

You will be able to go through the recordings and pause them, fast-forward through them, etc.
